Headway Kent Delivers Inspiring Presentation at the 12th Kent Brain Injury Forum

Date: 11th November 2025

Last week, Headway Kent’s CEO, Jenny Walsh and Head of Operations, Hayley Cook, delivered a powerful and insightful presentation at the 12th Kent Brain Injury Forum, an event dedicated to improving understanding, research, and support for people affected by brain injury across the county.

A Voice for Brain Injury Survivors in Kent

Headway Kent's presentation shone a spotlight on the essential support we provides to acquired brain injury (ABI) survivors and their families. Their talk explored the challenges faced by those living with brain injury and highlighted the charity’s ongoing commitment to rehabilitation, advocacy, and community reintegration.

Headway Kent’s mission is to ensure every brain injury survivor in Kent receives the tailored support, compassion, and understanding they deserve. Through local programmes, outreach, and community partnerships, the organisation continues to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Expert Panel and Collaborative Discussion

In addition to the presentation, Headway Kent took part in the expert panel discussion, joining neuro consultants, researchers, and other specialist organisations from the brain injury sector. Together, they discussed the latest research findings, service challenges, and innovative approaches to supporting individuals with brain injuries in Kent and beyond.

All presentations were thought-provoking, providing fresh perspectives on brain injury care, rehabilitation strategies, and the importance of collaborative support networks.

Steering Committee Leadership and Advocacy

Headway Kent is proud to play an active role on the Steering Committee of the Kent Brain Injury Forum. As part of this leadership group, the charity helps shape the strategic direction of brain injury services across the region. By working closely with healthcare professionals, social services, and local partners, Headway Kent advocates for the needs of ABI survivors and works tirelessly to improve access to support across the county.

Continuing to Champion Brain Injury Awareness in Kent

The Kent Brain Injury Forum once again highlighted the importance of collaboration and continued research in supporting those living with brain injuries. Headway Kent remains at the forefront of this mission, driving awareness, delivering expert support, and influencing positive change for survivors and their families.
