We’re Recruiting: Marketing and Communications Officer

Are you looking for a part time marketing job in Canterbury, where your skills can make a real difference? Headway Kent is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to help us raise awareness, share stories, and promote our services. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your communications skills with a meaningful role in the charity sector, supporting adults living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families.

Why work for Headway Kent?

Headway Kent is a long-established local charity with hubs across the county, offering life-changing rehabilitation and support. When you join our team, you’ll be part of:

  • A supportive, inclusive workplace where your ideas matter

  • A chance to work closely with survivors of brain injury, their families, and volunteers — seeing first-hand the impact of your work

  • A role where creativity is encouraged, and no two days are the same

  • An organisation that values wellbeing, flexibility, and professional growth

This is more than just a marketing job — it’s an opportunity to raise awareness, grow support, and give a voice to people rebuilding their lives.

  • Share the voices and stories of the people we support

  • Salary:  £28650 (FTE) pro rata based on hours

  • Location: Office based in Canterbury with some travel to community hubs and events across Kent

  • Contract: Permanent, subject to funding

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Creative, with excellent writing and digital marketing skills

  • Confident using social media and website platforms

  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects
