Have You Had a Brain Injury? Share Your Experience with GP Surgeries and Help Improve Support

Date: 1st August 2025

At Headway Kent, we know how important it is that professionals across the health system understand the long-term impact of brain injury. For many survivors, GP surgeries are one of the first – and sometimes only – places they turn to for support. But too often, clients tell us they feel misunderstood or dismissed.

That’s why Headway UK is developing a new training session aimed at GP surgery staff – and they need your voice to help shape it.

If you’re living with the effects of a brain injury, or have supported someone who is, you can make a real difference by completing this short 5–10 minute survey about your experiences with GP clinics – from booking appointments to how well your needs were understood.

Your feedback will help ensure that the training reflects real-life experiences and challenges, and leads to more inclusive, accessible, and brain injury-aware GP services across the UK.

🧠 The survey is:

  • Anonymous – unless you choose to share your name

  • Quick and easy – just 5 to 10 minutes

  • Open to anyone with experience of brain injury

Whether your experience has been positive, negative, or a mix of both, your insight matters. By taking part, you’ll be helping to create better-informed GP teams who can make appointments, referrals, and support more effective for people affected by brain injury.

Please do share this with friends, family, or others in your network who have been affected.

Together, we can help shape a healthcare system that listens, understands, and responds better to the needs of brain injury survivors.
